I carry two Klean Kanteens (www.kleankanteen.com) with me everywhere I go; one full of barely sweet Charleston tea and the other water.
The canisters keep my drinks cold (not frigid, but cool) all day, no matter what the thermostat reads-- no kidding. Stainless steel’s happy temperature is somewhere around 60 degrees, so that’s where it stays.
That is not the only reason why Klean Kanteens make me happy, though. When I use my Klean Kanteens I am not using plastic bottles, which means I am not subjecting my body to the bad-for-us chemicals that leech out of plastic. I am also helping the environment since most plastic bottles are not created from recycled materials-- creating demand for more petroleum based plastic products-- nor am I creating waste (even the items in your recycle bin are waste items). The Kanteens also help ensure I drink plenty of fluids each day-- each one holds 27 ounces.
And, on top of all of those fantastic things, I am saving money! Though my husband sniffed at the price ($15 each on Amazon.com), I reminded him bottled water and soda on my campus cost at least $1 each-- a price set to rise 25 cents Fall Semester. Once he realized I would end up spending more, in one week, for those drinks than I would for the Klean Kanteens, he changed his tune.
An added bonus: our cats can knock the bottles over all they want, the screw-on tops make the Kanteens mess-free.
Not only do I love Klean Kanteens, I can’t think of any reason why everyone shouldn’t love them!
