Caroline Hwang

Caroline Hwang was born in Minneapolis and moved at the ripe age of one to sunny Southern California for the warmth. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at Art Center College of Design. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Caroline’s work is influenced by crafts, graphic arts, quilting, films and music, among other things. Her work has become what it is today from the days of watching her grandmother crochet and knit. When she is not sewing and making art, she is always on a search for the perfect burrito. She has been featured in Paper Magazine and Swindle Quarterly and has done illustrations for The New York Times, BUST, and HOW Design. Hwang has previously shown at galleries in New York, London, Los Angeles, and Portland.
