Love Books!

Wednesday, December, 3, 2008

I love this month’s list of ten books that girls should read by Amanda Lamb. My daughter just finished the abridged version of The Secret Garden, but I think she should read the real chapter book soon. We also need to read the original Winnie the Pooh chapter book together.

Tuesday night I read a really cute book a friend from work gave me.

My kids loved this book. They especially loved the reference to “D is for Diego Rivera” and “K is for Kahlo.”  (Can you tell we appreciate Mexican art in our home?) It’s a fun book and very educational about Mexico.

I love children’s books. We also read Shiver Me Letters, my son’s choice and a fun alphabet book too.

Both great choices as I prepare him for the Vanguard test and prepare him for Kindergarten.  I tour my choices for Magnet schools next week. Here we go with Child #2.
